The purpose of A Guide for New Muslims book is to help make it easy for New Muslims to transition into an Islamic life by learning the basic beliefs and practices of Islam. For the past 45 years of giving Da’awah and assisting new converts to Islam, I have compiled in this book the fundamental principles of Islamic beliefs and actions with evidence from the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH.
In this book, I address the most common questions new Muslims often ask after accepting Islam. I have included several small chapters of the Quran in Arabic, English transliteration, and English translation to get you started with saying your five daily prayers. In the back of the book, I added a glossary of Arabic Islamic terms with their definition to help you build your Arabic vocabulary and help you communicate among Muslims. This book can also be beneficial to those who have been Muslim for many years but have practiced Islam based on tradition and culture. Always remember that we must practice Islam based on evidence from the Quran and the life actions and sayings of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. May Allah increase us in knowledge so that we can worship Him correctly.
